Editions of Van Gogh’s letters

In exhibtion Airport Library Schiphol

Millions of travellers flying from Schiphol Airport can explore Dutch art and culture at a number of venues in the airport before boarding their planes. The artist Vincent van Gogh occupies a significant place in the cultural heritage of the Netherlands.

From late March to mid August the Van Gogh Museum organised a small exhibition in the Airport Library. This presented a selection of the various editions of Van Gogh’s letters from the Van Gogh Museum Library.

The Airport Library is a unique, joint initiative by Schiphol Airport and the Nederlandse Openbare Bibliotheken (Association of Dutch Public Libraries), whose seating area with multimedia collections affords passengers an opportunity to read books in 29 languages, listen to music and watch and download films.
