Launch of Van Gogh Europe

European Van Gogh locations join forces to preserve heritage

On 9 February more than 20 European organisations signed the Van Gogh Europe agreement in the Van Gogh Museum. This marked the launch of an international partnership that is actively engaged in the preservation of Vincent van Gogh’s heritage. Four organisations - the Van Gogh Museum, the Kröller-Müller Museum, Van Gogh Brabant and Mons 2015 (Mons will be the Cultural Capital of Europe in 2015) - form the foundation for this collaboration. Under the name Van Gogh Europe they constitute the nucleus of a partnership between some 30 organisations in the Netherlands, Belgium, France and England.

Van Gogh Europe connects the places where Van Gogh lived and worked, and the institutions where his work is kept, studied and displayed.
